North Bali – Road Construction Commences on 1.9 Km Stretch of Singaraja – Mengwitan “Short Cut”

Radar Bali reports that the groundbreaking and placement of the first stone for the construction of a 1.9 kilometer “shortcut” for “point 5 to 6” on the Singaraja-Mengwitani highway took place on Wednesday, November 14, 2018.

Bali Governor Wayan Koster was designated to preside at the North Bali road construction ceremony at km 57-59 in the Village of Pegayaman, Sukasada District, in the mountain-lake district of Bali. The new road link requires the acquisition of a total of 11 hectares of privately and publicly owned land. This required Rp. 25 billion to compensate for land, 10 homes, 3 religious, sites and thousands of trees owned by the surrounding communities. The largest part of land required for the road is located in the Village of Pegayaman.
